We've been going to Rocky River with Anna, Jonas, and Lavinia since before Bastian could walk, but we hadn't been since early summer. It seemed necessary that we should take a stroll one fine day after they got out of school. It was good.
The children were behind this sign, halfway up the hill just before I took this photo. Anna and I had gotten distracted looking for bullfrogs while they ran ahead. Nice. The leaves have begun to change in small patches and at the edges.
The top of the cliff is a fantastic spot for watching the sun set.
Juniper berries.
