Post Tantrum Snack

Bastian threw this humongous tantrum about what to eat for lunch. He wanted to eat ketchup and mustard for lunch, so I tried to recommend some other things that might go with condiments, like french fries and chick-patties. He would have none of it. I was trying to make myself some food at the time, so eventually I just ignored his incessant screaming and started chopping up some various stuff for him. Just as he began to accept this, he got pissed that I tried to put all of it on one plate. Thus three separate plates came out. Plus a dish of a dab of ketchup and mustard, which he licked. All of this was after a morning full of tantrums. The first of the day was about spoons. Fun stuff.

I don't know how I'll ever survive all of the third year.

Sorry, I had to laugh when I read your post, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but I can sure relate. My older son sometimes wants pickle relish sandwiches for lunch (yes, pickle relish between two slices bread, nothing else). Gotta love the monkey platter, as they always seem to eat at least a few things from it along with the non-nutritive food they wanted in the first place:)
