We finally got around to fixing up the summer table now that it will soon be time for fall. The wool playscape became a favorite perch of Oscar the cat, so the table fell into disrepair from lack of use. This glory will last briefly, I am sure. The kids actually find this activity boring - excepting picking marigolds and Bastian puts the animals in. Then when asked by Papa, who thought this disinterest made the practice futile, Bastian declared that he loves the seasons table. So there. Mainly it's cute and sparkly and paints images of our perfect life for television audiences, or, er, whoever.
Bastian coaxed Papa Logan into teaching him to play chess. Papa Logan took off his shirt after awhile when he got hot, so Bastian followed suit. Topless Chess seems to have the same rules as regular chess though.
My little ninja made blackberry lemonade from scratch with his mad ninja skills. Lots of muscles being built with all that squeezing. I imagine that ninja mothers put a little vodka in it for themselves (to help quell the worry of having a ninja child).
